Domaine Rapet Père Et Fils' lineage can be traced back to at least 1765 thanks to a dated, silver tastevin much treasured by the family. Rapet is one of the most ancient families of the Côte D’Or and the estate is now under the control of Vincent Rapet and his charming wife Sylvette who manage the 20 hectares with skill and a keen eye to nature.

Based in the village of Pernand-Vergelesses, Domaine Rapet’s vineyards lie on and around the hill of Corton.

The Wine

Recent investments, like a new tractor for mechanised soil work, align with Burgundian traditions of vineyard cultivation. The estate's meticulous vine care prioritises disease and pest control based on climatic conditions, minimising treatments. operating with a clear commitment to organic viticulture, with all vineyards certified as such.

For white wines, Chardonnay grapes take centre stage. They are carefully harvested, preserved in small boxes, and gently pressed in a pneumatic press for integrity. Fermentation takes place in barrels, with 30% new oak, and ageing continues on lees with stirring before bottling after a year. Red wines, crafted from Pinot Noir grapes, aim for rich, fruity profiles. Harvested in small boxes, grapes undergo meticulous sorting and gentle transfer to tanks. Fermentation lasts 15 days with regular punch-downs. Ageing occurs in barrels, with 20% new oak. Drawing off the wine eliminates the need for pumps, preserving richness.
