Taittinger’s Folies de La Marquetterie is a little gem in the portfolio, the original grower champagne – and a touch richer and rounder than the standard Brut – perfect now the weather is cooling.

Who says rosé is just for summer? – Jonathan Maltus’ Le Rêve has enough substance to be enjoyable all year – in fact the bottles are highly recommended with smoked salmon at Christmas!

South African Chenin is at an exciting point right now (we have just landed our first club barrels in fact) and the very old vine Kaapzicht is particularly impressive.

I’ve included a pair of 2017 reds – Villa Gresti, San Leonardo’s Merlot-based cuvée – the Pomerol of Trentino, and a really satisfying Bulgarian native variety – mavrud, from the country’s top grower – which offers exceptional value for its quality and has gone down a storm in recent tastings.
