The Vega Sicilia 2026 Releases are considered some of the best ever.
 
Starting with the 2016 ‘Unico’, this has been recognised as ‘Outstanding’ in Tim Atkins 2025 Spanish report (98 Pts) and sits at the top of the tree from this illustrious stable.

Also released is the 2014 ‘Unico’ Magnums, always a year later than the 75cls. 2014 was a healthy crop for Vega Sicilia which Zekun Shuai, JamesSuckling.com Senior Editor, has described as “refined, ethereal and elegant”.

Next is the ‘Unico Reserva Especial’, a blend of Unico’s from 2011, 2012 and 2014. This is a more powerful expression of Unico though prioritises complexity and elegance to produce a nuanced character and excellent aging potential.

The new 2021 vintage of ‘Valbuena’ is widely regarded as one of the best expressions of this label in recent years and has picked up the same 98 Point score from Zekun Shuai as the Unico 2016, Zekun has said its “One of the finest Valbuenas available” while also saying it’s his favourite of the 2026 releases.

Rounding off the range is their Alión, 2022 was one of the warmest vintages in Ribera so they carefully managed maturation to balance their distinct power. Ferran Centelles has said its “One of the most exuberant and fruit-forward Alión vintages in recent memory”.
