Romain Guiberteau learned his craft under the legendary Nady Foucault of Clos Rougeard, one of the Loire's most revered addresses, before transforming his family estate into a benchmark domaine with a fiercely loyal following. Rebecca Gibb MW at Vinous describes him as one of the region's "most illustrious producers" and a "reference point when it comes to Chenin and Cabernet Franc." The Wine Advocate's Yohan Castaing calls the wines "precise, vibrant, structured and richly mineral." As WRO critic Michael Apstein puts it: "It's hard to go wrong just picking their wines blindly."

The whites are Chenin Blanc at its most compelling, combining impressive texture, tension and minerality, all while remaining unmistakably Loire. The Brézé terroir, sourced from old vines on tuffeau limestone, has been celebrated since the early twentieth century. Count Curnonsky, the most influential French food and wine critic of his era, called Brézé "the greatest white wines of the Loire, and indeed, the greatest white wines of the world." The reds show similar elegance: pure Cabernet Franc with fine tannins, limestone freshness and effortless ageing potential.
