Our Wine Director Tom Harrow was at dinner with iconic (and iconoclastic) winemaker Sebastián Zuccardi last night. Tasting through the range, he was deeply impressed, and then thought something was wrong with the price. £165 for a case of six of the Fósil Chardonnay? 98 points from Vinous? These could easily cost that per bottle.

Sebastián calls these mountain wines, and at almost 1,500 metres above sea level in the Uco Valley, that is no exaggeration. The Fósil Chardonnay 2024 gets an extraordinary 98 points from Vinous' Joaquín Hidalgo, who calls it "lean yet vibrant, with pure white fruit and elevated freshness."

The San Pablo Malbec 2022 meanwhile has a beautiful perfume that stops you before you've even tasted it; James Suckling awards an equally impressive 97, describing it as "delicate, nuanced and very subtle, with precise dark fruit and focused tannins."

We have 15 cases of each. Most of the Honest Grapes team have put some aside for ourselves. At this quality and this price, join us and stick a case of each in the cellar.

Shipping in autumn, 2026.
