Based in the charming village of La Morra, right in the heart of Barolo country, Enzo Boglietti is a true family affair—one of those quietly brilliant estates that wine lovers in the know just love to champion. The story begins in 1991, when Enzo officially founded the winery, building on a modest 3-hectare inheritance from his grandfather, Matteo. Since then, the Boglietti family has expanded their holdings to 22 hectares, with vines scattered across some of the Langhe’s most coveted sites—from Barolo and Monforte d’Alba to Serralunga, Sinio, and beyond.

The leap from traditional farming to full-time winemaking came in the wake of the 1980s dairy crisis—one of those “make-or-break” moments that reshaped the family’s future. With guidance from respected neighbours like Alessandro Fantino and Roberto Voerzio, Enzo and his brother Gianni set out to create wines that reflect both their roots and their vision: quality-driven, sustainable, and deeply expressive of place.

Today, the next generation—Linda and Matteo—has joined Enzo at the helm, continuing to evolve the estate while staying true to its soul. Organic farming is central to everything they do, and the winery has earned full organic certification, a reflection of years of quiet commitment to working in harmony with the land.

The Boglietti range is full of personality, with a core focus on site-specific Nebbiolo that celebrates the nuance of each vineyard. Their Barolo crus—Brunate, Case Nere, Fossati, Boiolo, and Arione—are as compelling as they are distinctive, each telling a different story of terroir and vintage. Add in their Langhe Nebbiolo, Barbera d’Alba, Dolcetto, and even a few surprises like a beautifully judged Chardonnay, and you’ve got a portfolio that’s rich in depth and character.

At Honest Grapes, we’re big fans of estates like Boglietti—where heritage, humility, and a passion for precision all come together in the glass.
