Torbreck's Woodcutter's Shiraz is the Barossa in a glass — unapologetically full-throttle, ripe, and warmly spiced. David Powell founded Torbreck in 1994 and named it after the Scottish forest where he once worked as a lumberjack, and there's something appropriately no-nonsense about this wine.

Sourced from old bush vines across the Barossa Valley, it delivers the kind of dense, sun-drenched Shiraz that put this region on the world map: dark fruit, pepper, vanilla oak, and a richness that coats every corner of the palate.

OUR GROWERS

Torbreck Vintners

Torbreck Vintners was founded in 1994 by David Powell, who named the estate after Torbreck Forest in Scotland where he worked before moving to Australia. Based in the Barossa Valley, Torbreck built its reputation on wines made from very old Shiraz vines, some over a century old, following techniques inspired by the great wines of the Northern Rhône. The estate has become one of the Barossa's most recognised names, with the Woodcutter's range sitting at the entry level of a portfolio that climbs to the celebrated RunRig.

Torbreck has implemented water recycling and sustainable farming practices across its Barossa vineyards, and works with growers committed to preserving old vine material. However, no independently verified organic, biodynamic, or third-party environmental certification is publicly confirmed for Torbreck Vintners at the time of writing.
