Famously the first Brunello to makes it ways onto the Bordeaux-based negociant system La Place, Poggio Antico was acquired by a Belgian investor in 2017 who has spared no expense in trying to push the estate to the front rank of Montalcino, and they are very much succeeding.
The estate’s youthful Sangiovese‑based Rosso reflects the same high‑altitude vineyards and organic farming that define their Brunello wines.
