Based in the prestigious Côte de Nuits village of Vosne-Romanée, Domaine Cacheux is a family-run estate with a winemaking history spanning four generations. The domaine covers approximately 7 hectares of vines, primarily within Vosne-Romanée, with holdings in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Chambolle-Musigny, and the renowned Échezeaux Grand Cru.

Au Bas de Combe lies on the northern side of Nuits-Saint-Georges, close to the Vosne-Romanée border, in a cool, slightly sheltered part of the appellation. The vineyard sits at the foot of a small combe, where cold air drainage and limestone-rich soils help preserve freshness and aromatic lift. This setting often produces a more refined, elegant style of Nuits-Saint-Georges, with less overt muscle and more emphasis on line, detail and minerality.
