Meursault Premier Cru Perrières, Domaine Ballot-Millot, 2017 is Meursault at its most precise and mineral, a wine that shows why Perrières is often spoken of in almost Grand Cru terms. On the nose, there are fine aromas of lemon and wet stone. The palate opens into a complex blend of exotic and fresh fruits, layered over that signature mineral backbone, before expanding into a long, inviting finish.
The Perrières plot sits on stony, limestone-rich soils, giving wines of real tension and cut. It’s typically the most chiselled and focused of Meursault’s Premier Crus, and Ballot-Millot captures that beautifully.
The 2017 vintage in Burgundy delivered wines with freshness and clarity - a sense of harmony that runs right through this bottle.
