"Rich and buttery, with a flamboyant personality. Smooth and layered, showing ripe orchard fruit, a touch of vanilla, and a rounded, satisfying finish."
Stewart Pryce, Honest Grapes Wine Club Manager
Domaine du Pavillon is a respected Burgundy estate and part of the Albert Bichot family of domaines. Les Criots sits in the heart of Meursault, its name derived from “chalk,” a clear nod to the limestone-rich soils. These mineral elements, born from the erosion of the Côte, are strongly expressed here, giving the vineyard its distinctive tension and clarity.
Albert Bichot is one of Burgundy’s most established houses, with over 100 ha of owned vineyards and access to an additional 250 ha. In 2024, their lighter, elegant style really suited the vintage, producing wines that combine freshness, finesse, and approachable charm across the range. The reds show lifted aromatics and pure fruit, while the whites are expressive without being heavy, balancing richness and vivacity beautifully.
