"Fully ripe, dark-fruited, full-bodied, with freshness to balance the power."
Stewart Pryce, Honest Grapes Wine Club Manager
Domaine Raquillet is a 12th-generation Mercurey family estate, run today by Emmanuel and Jeanne. The 2024 vintage delivered bright tension in the whites and ripe, balanced reds, with all wines showing freshness and focus despite the variable conditions. Yields were slightly down in 2025, but 2024 offered good quantity and quality across the range, with whites showing precise acidity and reds ripe aromatics with structure and elegance. All Premier Cru reds received 25% new oak, giving the wines added depth without masking their purity.
“The Côte Chalonnaise experienced a very different growing season than the rest of Burgundy, and it is very much a year to pay attention to these wines. Almost across the board
they are highly delicious.”
Christy Canterbury MW, Tim Atkin
Domaine Raquillet is one of Tim Atkin's Top 10 Côte Chalonnaise Producers.
What the critics say:
"This mid-slope vineyard sits next to the cemetery, overlooking Mercurey. These 40 ares of vines are 60-years-old and saw 30% new oak. Petulent and reserved at first, the wine opened quickly in the glass. The tannins are lively and spicy—they could use 18-24 months to calm down, and the acidity is vividly refreshing. Boysenberries, sloe and plums linger well into the finish."
