IKOYI Launch Party - with special guest Rianie Strydom

We were delighted to welcome Rianie over from Stellenbosch to celebrate the arrival in the UK of the first vintages of IKOYI red and white. She sourced the grapes for our Cabernet Franc-based blend and old vine Chenin Blanc especially for us from sites on The Helderberg, and then made the wines with St Émilion pioneer and Cabernet Franc expert Jonathan Maltus (who was born in the Ikoyi district of Lagos, Nigeria).

We presented the wines at Grey Flannel (Central London, Chiltern St). Promoting our partnership with mothers2mothers – who train and employ local women living with HIV as community health workers in ten African countries, we will be donating 10% of the profits of all sales of IKOYI to support the charity.

There was no charge for the event but we request that attendees strongly consider making a direct donation to m2m or buying some bottles or cases of the wines, and contribute that way.
