Hamilton Russell remains the most convincing argument for serious South African Pinot Noir. From their cool-climate vineyards in Walker Bay's Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, this 2025 vintage captures the elegant, mineral-driven style that has made them legendary. We find red cherry and wild strawberry fruit wrapped in savoury forest floor complexity, with the kind of silky texture that separates real Pinot from the pretenders.

This isn't trying to be Burgundy, and that's precisely why it works. The maritime influence keeps things fresh and precise, whilst the ancient clay-rich soils add a distinctive South African signature. Drinking beautifully now but will reward those with patience until 2035.
