Hamilton Russell produces what we consider South Africa's most elegant Chardonnay from their cool-climate vineyards in Walker Bay's Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. This is restrained winemaking at its finest – minimal intervention, indigenous yeasts, and judicious oak use that lets the site speak clearly.

The 2025 shows the house style perfectly: crisp citrus and stone fruit flavours with that distinctive mineral backbone that comes from their clay-rich soils. There's subtle oak integration rather than obvious vanilla, and the bright acidity keeps everything fresh and focused. Ready to drink now but will develop more complexity over the next five years.
