Optimal drinking window: Now - 2045
Domaine du Clos Frantin sits at the heart of the Côte de Nuits, based in a handsome 18th-century estate in Nuits-Saint-Georges. Of its 7.3 hectares of vineyards, more than half are Premier and Grand Cru sites, all farmed organically since 2018.
As Neal Martin has noted, Maison Bichot — owner of the domaine — is capable of producing “really quite delicious, complex wines that often surprise people in blind tastings.” We consistently select cuvées that deliver this level of quality at more approachable prices, offering genuine value and plenty of drinking pleasure.
What the critics say:
"The domaine owns two parcels in Grands Echézeaux (one next to Drouhin and one next to DRC), with a combined size of a quarter-hectare. There is marvellous depth of plummy fruit aromas and rewarding concentration on the palate, with some spice aromas from the cask ageing (70% new) that are noticeable on the finish at this point."
