"High-toned, shimmering red fruit with cranberry and wild strawberry, set over a cool, stony backbone. Lovely weight and supple, finely grained texture, with a fresh, poised finish and a subtle savoury edge."
Stewart Pryce, Honest Grapes Wine Club Manager

Pierre has quietly turned his family domaine into one of the most coveted names in Gevrey. Neal Martin describes the wines as “inexplicable and quite miraculous”, while Jasper Morris MW points to their “extraordinary precision”.

The 2024 vintage is a huge success, playing perfectly to Duroché’s strengths in cooler years: high-toned, shimmering red fruit, beautiful natural weight, and a seamless, finely textured finish.

What the critics say:

92/100Charles Curtis MW, Decanter

"Perfumed, forward and silky, the village Gevrey from Domaine Duroché is delightfully accessible in 2024, yet is also structured and surprisingly dense for a village-level wine. In 2024, Duroché had to blend purchased fruit from Les Crais and Puits de la Barraque, where it does the work in the vines, with its domaine parcels in En Champs and Craipillot, so it is all sold as négoce. The grapes were picked at 11.5%-12% potential alcohol, lightly chaptalised and destemmed, leaving a large proportion of whole berries before a gentle fermentation and ageing in barrel."
