About French Bloom, Le Rosé Organic French Bubbly 0%, Nv
This organic non-alcoholic sparkling wine is truly something to behold.
We had one glass, we had another, and we were delighted. Created to contribute to one's holistic wellness - where a good time is a priority - this bottle of bubbles is not one to miss.
Made from organic grapes, this sparkling Rosé is fresh but fruity; notes of rose, peach and cherry bring brightness and lightness to your surprisingly 0.0% glass.
"It may be the most spenny alcohol-free bubbly on the market but French Bloom feels special. It could be the fancy packaging or the fact the brand has champagne royalty, a Frèrejean-Taittinger, behind it, but it fits the bill for a celebratory occasion. The rosé version is made from organic chardonnay and pinot noir grapes, giving notes of fresh red berries and crisp pink lady apples. Fine bubbles provide a creamy texture and a pleasant, lingering finish."
'Best for Christmas Day' /The Guardian, 2024
As a non-alcoholic sparkling wine, French Bloom Le Rosé is designed for immediate enjoyment rather than cellaring. The fresh fruit character and vibrant bubbles are at their peak upon release and won't develop additional complexity over time. Best consumed within two years of purchase to maintain the bright, celebratory character that makes it special.
Tasting Notes
AppearancePale salmon pink with fine, persistent bubbles that dance elegantly in the glass.
NoseFresh red berries leap out immediately, followed by crisp pink lady apple and delicate rose petals. There's a clean, almost mineral edge that keeps it from being overly sweet or cloying.
PalateSurprisingly full-bodied with genuine sparkle and mousse that fills the mouth properly. Cherry and peach flavours are bright and authentic, supported by a creamy texture that mimics the lees contact you'd expect from proper sparkling wine.
FinishClean and lingering with a pleasant freshness that invites another sip.
Overall impressionThis actually feels like celebration rather than compromise.
We think this wine would go well with
Serve well-chilled at 6-8°C in proper champagne flutes to showcase the fine bubbles. No need for any special handling beyond ensuring it's properly cold. The elegant packaging deserves to be displayed, and the bubbles need the right glass to perform at their best.
FAQs
What does this non-alcoholic rosé taste like?
Fresh and fruity with rose, cherry, and crisp apple flavours, plus fine bubbles that give it a proper celebratory feel rather than feeling like a compromise.
How does it compare to regular champagne?
Obviously it lacks the complexity that comes from fermentation, but the fine bubbles, creamy texture, and bright fruit make it genuinely suitable for toasting special occasions.
What food pairs well with this?
Light canapés, fresh berries, or anything you'd serve with a traditional rosé sparkling wine. It's particularly good with celebration foods like smoked salmon or delicate pastries.
How should I serve it?
Well-chilled at 6-8°C in proper champagne flutes. Treat it exactly like you would a bottle of champagne - the ceremony matters as much as the contents.
Is it worth the premium price?
It's certainly expensive for alcohol-free wine, but the quality and packaging justify it if you want something genuinely special for celebrations where alcohol isn't appropriate.
How long will it keep?
Best enjoyed within two years of purchase whilst the fresh fruit character is at its most vibrant. Store in a cool, dark place until ready to serve.
