Domaine de Chevalier has long enjoyed a great reputation, occupying one of the appellation's hallowed terroirs to the west of Leognan, yet in recent years it's really pushed itself to the front of the appellation.

What the critics say:
"The 2021 L'Esprit de Chevalier Blanc has tightly wound scents of pressed white flowers, orange blossom and a touch of citrus peel, all delivered with very fine delineation. The palate is well-balanced with a saline entry, good concentration and a twist of lemongrass toward the finish. Excellent."
"A very pure, bright and crisp white with notes of fennel, green apples, limes and nettles. White pepper and stones, too. Medium-bodied and very fresh with a stony, mineral finish. Salty. 65% sauvignon and 35% semillon. Second wine of Domaine de Chevalier."
