Discover Brigaldara: A Valpolicella Tasting with Lamberto Cesari

Join us for an evening with Lamberto Cesari of Brigaldara, one of Valpolicella’s modern pioneers, as we get under the skin of one of Italy’s most fascinating (and oft-misunderstood) wine regions as this promises to be not just another Amarone tasting.
Aldo Fiordelli, writes for James Suckling's website that Brigaldera “proves that drinkable Amarone is not an oxymoron. Bravo!” whilst Decanter's Monty Waldin says the wines are "a gratifying antidote to the caricature that contemporary Amarone can be - namely big blockbusters, too bold and boisterous".

Based in the hills of Grezzana, 450m up, Brigaldara has been making more savoury, elegant expressions of Valpolicella’s indigenous varieties, with a real focus on site specific cuvées. There’s a real sense of place here - from the freshness and elegance of Valpolicella through to the darker, richer and more contemplative world of Amarone.
Lamberto Cesari will be joining us personally, taking us through a selection of estate's wines and telling the story behind them: the vineyards, the family, the traditions and the decisions in the cellar that make these wines what they are.

Expect great Italian wine, plenty of conversation and a proper look at what makes Valpolicella tick.
And, naturally, some outstanding Amarones.

This is a chance to taste alongside the grower himself, ask questions and discover more about one of Veneto’s distinctive producers - all in the relaxed setting of TOZI.

Guests are warmly encouraged to stay for dinner afterwards, with dinner available at an estimated £80pp. Please do let us know if you will be staying.
