Clemens Busch Marienburg Beerenauslese ‘Falkenlay’ 2011 is a noble-sweet Riesling from the Falkenlay parcel within the Pündericher Marienburg vineyard in the Mosel. This steep, south-facing site is characterised by grey slate soils and a sheltered position that favours full ripeness and the development of noble rot.
The wine is made from individually hand-selected, botrytised grapes harvested late in the season. Fermentation takes place with native yeasts, typically in large, old oak barrels, followed by ageing on lees and bottling with minimal intervention and low sulphur. The result is a highly concentrated Beerenauslese, balancing richness and sweetness with freshness and mineral tension.
Clemens Busch is one of the Mosel’s leading growers, known for biodynamic viticulture and a precise, terroir-driven approach.
