Ceritas is a very exciting project that aims to produce top quality Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, known for sourcing fruit from cool-climate vineyards along the Sonoma Coast and other high-quality sites in California.
Their Chardonnays are typically marked by a strong sense of place, with a focus on minerality, bright acidity, and restrained use of oak, and are often compared to Burgundy for their elegance, balance, and age-worthiness. The 2018 vintage in California was very good, with a long growing season that allowed for slow, even ripening. The wines from this vintage are generally well-structured, with good acidity and balanced fruit, making them suitable for aging.
