Under the leadership of talented winemakers like Benjamin Leroux and now Paul Zinetti, the domaine emphasises minimal intervention in both the vineyard and the cellar. Hand-harvesting, natural fermentations, and careful oak aging create wines that balance power, elegance, and precision, with remarkable aging potential and complexity.
Pommard Premier Cru Clos des Épeneaux, the flagship wine of the estate, is celebrated for its intensity, structure, and ability to age for decades. The Auxey-Duresses offers a more accessible but equally compelling glimpse into the domaine's craftsmanship, with vibrant fruit, silky tannins, and a fresh, mineral-driven profile.
Comte Armand is one of Tim Atkin's Top 10 Côte de Beaune Red Wine Producers.
What the critics say:
"A delightful success in 2024, with solid, deep aromas of plum and blackberry, and notes of rose petals and liquorice. The texture is fully ripe and supple yet not lacking grip or structure. Although this wine has ageing potential, it should be drinkable relatively soon. The grapes are from the lieux-dits Bretérins and Bas de Duresses. In 2024, they gave 20 hl/ha – good for 2024 – and the domaine produced 25 barrels."
"€: Value wines that are especially worth seeking out"
