Robert Parker once said of Olivier Humbrecht: "I don't know what is more mind-boggling, the quality of Domaine Zind-Humbrecht's wines or Olivier Humbrecht's complete dedication to quality. This tall, powerful, and intellectual man may well be the finest winemaker in the world." The 2024s give us every reason to agree.

Our selection focuses on two of the domaine's greatest sites. Clos Windsbuhl is a high-altitude limestone enclave with a cool, almost Burgundian precision — a site Olivier considers among his most cherished. Rangen de Thann is Alsace's most southerly Grand Cru, grown on steep volcanic soils documented as exceptional since the 12th century, producing wines of extraordinary concentration and mineral intensity. Between them, these two vineyards account for some of the finest white wines produced anywhere in France.

2024 is a beautiful, classic Alsace vintage. Purity, freshness, tension and a keen spine of acidity run through every bottle in our selection — the signature of Zind-Humbrecht at its best, and exactly the combination that makes these wines age so exceptionally well. All six score 94–97 from Anne Krebiehl MW at Vinous, among the highest-rated in her entire Alsace report.

A changing of the guard is slowly happening at Alsace, with 10th generation Olivier now into his 67th year — how many vintages remain under his own hand is impossible to say, but it is as good a time as any to buy the wines from one of the world's icons. Quantities are extremely limited — secure your cases below.
