The esteemed Château Rauzan-Ségla is a wonderful addition to the Honest Grapes collection, and we are thrilled to have their wine available for our customers and Club Members.

The story of Château Rauzan-Ségla dates back to the 17th century when Pierre de Rauzan acquired the property, dividing it into Rauzan-Ségla and Rauzan-Gassies. However, the former has truly shone, renowned for crafting wines that capture Margaux's finesse.

Under the ownership of the Wertheimer family, who also own Chanel, Château Rauzan-Ségla has undergone a renaissance. Guided by tradition and innovation, the estate stands as a beacon of Margaux's winemaking prowess.

The Wine

On about 70 hectares of prime terroir, the estate's vineyards boast gravel and clay soils that lend their distinct character to the wines. Dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, these vineyards are meticulously tended to yield exceptional fruit.

Château Rauzan-Ségla's wines epitomize Margaux's finesse, offering a harmonious balance of fruit, structure, and terroir expression. With complexity and refinement, each sip offers a glimpse into Margaux's heart.

The winemaking philosophy at Château Rauzan-Ségla revolves around nurturing grape potential, respecting the estate's legacy, and embracing modern techniques where they enhance the final product. The result is a collection of wines that blend tradition and innovation, reflecting the soul of Margaux.
