Honest Grapes’ first ever Tuscan Syndicate barrel was one of the most popular, highest-rated and yet best value wines in our portfolio: Castello di Ama Haiku. When Tom Harrow was tasting at this legendary estate last year, owner Lorenza Sebasti was extremely excited about a brand new cuvée that she and winemaker Marco Pallanti have created and thought would be perfect for Honest Grapes...

2023 was very challenging year for Ama and such is their commitment to quality that no Cru wines will be released. However Marco considered the Cabernet Franc from the prestigious Montebuoni vineyard, that is usually destined for Haiku, to be of such distinctive quality that it deserved to be highlighted in this vintage, hence the creation of ‘h’ – 100% Cabernet Franc, Ama’s first. Knowing of our appreciation for this fascinating variety and special barrels she thought we would like to offer exclusively to our club members.
